Description
Art and technology continue to develop, influencing each other. I was influenced by William Gibson's cyberpunk novel “Neuromancer” (1984) and began creating artworks using the Internet. I also started the NicoNicoGakkai Beta, inspired by “Nankyokuten no Peer-Peer dōga” by Hōsuke Nojiri. In retrospect, Augusta Ada Byron, the world's first programmer, was a close friend of Mary Shelley, the author of “Frankenstein” (1818). Science influences fiction and is influenced by fiction, and science evolves. In this talk, I'll talk about my current research topic, the study of cognitive differences between Japan and Europe regarding creations produced by artificial intelligence.
